Incorporated in 2006, Magnolia Springs is located in south Baldwin County with a small population of roughly 1,000. Located at the headwaters of the Magnolia River, many of the buildings in the town are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. With the Magnolia River being the lifeblood of the community, activists were looking to have it named as an Outstanding Alabama Water which is the state’s highest level of environmental protection status.
Other notable facts from the area include it being the only town in the United States to have a U.S. Postal Service water delivery route along with the town being declared as a bird sanctuary.
